A Bit About Me
Collegiate basketball for me is not only a dream but a goal for me. There are many reasons why I want to play at a collegiate level and many reasons why colleges would want me as a recruit. The first reason I would love the opportunity to play in college is simply because I love basketball and want my journey to continue beyond high school. Another reason I want to play in college is because I love being in a competitive environment and always want to push myself. I want to go to a college that will push me mentally, academically, and physically. Colleges would want me as a recruit because I will always give 150%, I am a great facilitator as well as a scorer as point guard for my team, and I also have an amazing three point shot whenever I get the chance to shoot. I am always working on a new move or better improving my game on my own and in practices and training in other aspects and continually work on mental strength.
Basketball is one of the most important things in my life, however it is not the only thing. When I am not playing basketball or training or shooting, I love to be with my family. We go on trips every year together and I cherish that every moment I get. I also love to paint, but my favorite medium is watercolor. Reading is another hobby of mine and I go through a new book almost every week. Another important thing in my life is school. I am a student athlete who balances school, my job, and 24/7 basketball practices and/or training. I pride myself on having a 4.0 GPA every year because I know that without good grades, I can’t do the things I love. I plan on studying communications to be a sports analyst and want to play professionally after college and that is why I need to go to a college that will shape me to be the best player I can be.
My core values as a player and a person are drive, determination, accountability, and effort. All these values show on and off the court, they show in the way I hold myself and talk to my teammates. They show in the way I try to be a leader and example to anyone I can, and they show in my academics. These are all the things that make me, me. And this is why I want to play collegiate basketball, to help challenge me in ways I haven’t been before and to grow me as a player and a person. This is who my team can count on me to be.
